5 BEAUTY PRODUCTS THAT YOU SHOULDN'T SPLURGE ON

The mentality I usually hear is, you pay for what you get. But what if you could pay less and get the same results as your high end beauty products. I am not denying that luxury beauty brands deliver on their products with great formulas and beautiful branding and if you know what works for you than stick to it. But spending $23 on a tube of mascara every 3 months can add up. So why not pay less and get the same results? I shared my top 5 beauty products you shouldn't splurge on.

1.MASCARA
For me mascara is the makeup product that transforms my look the most. It is also my favorite, therefore I am constantly trying new mascaras to find my ultimate. I've come to the conclusion that it is unnecessary to send over $20 on a tube of mascara especially since they will dry out in a few months. The drugstore has amazing options like the new L'Oreal lash paradise which gives me the same results as the Too Faced better than sex mascara- and my all time favorite is L'Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black, both are under $10!

2.LIPSTICK  I love lipstick, to be fair I don't think my makeup is complete without some color on my lips. When I was younger my mom would tell me to just add a little something to my lips even if I wasn't wearing makeup, she said it can make a small difference. I have tried several brands, formulas and colors and although I do have my preferences you don't have to spend more than $10 on a lipstick. The drugstore has some great colors and formulas from brands like NYX, Maybeline, L'Oreal, etc.

3.NAIL POLISH
I try not to judge people but then I see someone purchase a louboutin nail polish at Sephora for $50 dollars!! Sure, the bottle is lovely but the red bottom shade on your nails will chip away just like the rest and in two weeks it'll be time for a redo. Instead of a high-end nail polish try Sally Hansen's hard as nails line that only cost $3 and is one of the best formulas I've ever tried. OPI and Essie also have a large and classic range of shades for you to choose from.

4.MAKE UP REMOVER WIPES

The first make up removed wipes I tried were MAC's own brand. I remember not being fond of them because they irritated my skin and dried out so quickly since I rarely wore makeup as a teenager. I stayed away from makeup remover wipes for such a long time and then I found the Burt's Bees brand. They are my absolute favorite because of their smell and the variety of whips. I use the pomegranate scent for Combo/Oily skin. Every time I use a wipe I instantly feel refreshed and it makes cleansing my face so much easier. The simple wipes are also a favorite and both a less than $8!

5. LIPLINER
I can't put lipstick on without lining my lips. If I don't line them, the lip color seems to move around throughout the day. This happens mainly because of the shape of my lips and lipliner has really helped me. But paying $16 and above for a lip liner can add up. I have found some great alternatives to some MAC favorites. Try out the Rimmel lipliners, they don't cost more than $7 and last all day!
