FLOORS CASTLE
Dress: Asos// Shoes: Forever21// Earrings: Anthropologie// Bag: Etsy(similar here) // Sunglasses // Hey everyone, Last week Chase and I took a trip to the Scottish Boarders to visit Floor Castle. I saw photos of the castle online and just thought it was so beautiful. The castle isn't too far from Edinburgh, a little more than an hour journey. This castle in particular is different than most I've been to in Scotland. First, the castle is fairly newer compared to most, built in 1721 for the Duke of Roxburghe. The current Duke and Duchess still live in the castle which means the castle is closed 6 months out of the year. The castle is grand and filled with priceless heirlooms as well as family pictures throughout the years, and makes the castle feel more like a home. You aren't allowed to take photos, so I can't show you but I really enjoyed the mix of French and Asian decor you see throughout the living and sitting areas. Along with the castle, your ticket includes an entrance to the gardens where you can enjoy lunch or a treat at their cafe. The entire estate is enormous and offers numerous activities like shooting and fishing. The castle is lovely and just how you imagine a proper fairytale castle would be. Have you ever been to Floors Castle? Or would you like to visit? Let me know, I would love to hear about it. Have a lovely week, Joan |
