WHERE TO EAT IN EDINBURGH: BADGER & CO. REVIEW

OVERALL EXPERIENCE
We are ALWAYS on the lookout for new delicious restaurants. I can say eating is probably our favorite activity nowadays. However, we don't just base our loyalty to a restaurant because of the quality of food, but more on the overall experience. When we are dining out we want to have an experience different from eating at home. I don't like eating out and thinking to myself, "I can make this at home." There are certain restaurants where I absolutely love the food, but the service is so bad I just cant stand eating there. So whenever I find an overall great restaurant I love to share it with everyone.

We were so excited to try out Badger & Co.. It has actually been on our restaurant watch list for some time now since we live so close we pass by it quite frequently. We went for dinner on a Thursday evening and the dining room was pretty busy (always a good sign).

The restaurant has a rugged charm to it, when you walk in you can definitely feel the masculine atmosphere. You get the vibe of a mixture between your grandfathers study and an old neighborhood pub.

I would love to go back and try more items on the menu. Not only was the staff friendly, welcoming, and helpful, but the environment was laid back, yet very proper. I felt like I was having dinner at my grandparents house because of how comfortable it was, but I didn't want to spill anything on the leather couch either.

The food was tasty, and although the menu isn't lengthy like the Cheesecake Factory (an American restaurant), it was just right. There is really a wide variety of options for everyone. I can usually always find at least one thing to eat on a menu, but it's always better when you have your eye on a few different things. It makes the decision a littler harder, but has me coming back again to see what I missed out on.
