We live in a society where its in with the new out with the old at a speed that is hard to keep up with. We find it completely normal to throw away, donate, regift, your unused or unwanted wardrobe pieces and hey I am so guilty of it. I have garments in my closet I absolutely love but doesn't get the wear because seasons change and so do trends. 

I am so over this mentality though. Please don't get me wrong, I love how fashion evolves and beautiful and exciting things come about each season but that doesn't mean I want to throw away that dress I was once in love with. 

So I decided to show you how you can take your last years dress and flip it to look up to date and on trend. I actually wore this dress last year, you can see the out post HERE. I actually love the way I originally styled this ASOS dress. But I thought I would show how you can take a staple like a floral dress for Spring and transition it year after year. 

1. SHOES 

Now more than ever, I think you can really tell how your shoes can make such a difference in your outfit. For this look I wanted to wear a mule because they are so popular at the moment. 

2. ACCESSORIES 

I wanted to pair this dress with some Spring and Summer key pieces like my straw boater hat and wooden clutch that i can't stop wearing. 

3. MAKEUP 

A good way to change the look is simply by updating your makeup. I added a bold red lip to tie in all the colors on the dress. 

4. THIRD PIECE 

The magic of that third piece is something else. I  originally kept the outfit simple but this time around I knew a denim jacket would be perfect. Its so neutral for something as busy as a floral dress and its just so great for Spring and Summer and not to mention timeless.
