WHAT I'M WEARING
Hey everyone,
I hope you are having a wonderful week so far, so happy tomorrow is Friday. Isn't there just something great about the weekend?
I know I've talked to you about gingham so much already and I think this MIGHT be my last gingham purchase, at least for a little while. You never want to exhausted a good thing but the reason I was even drawn to the top was because of the design. They took a traditional button down, added a fun print and made it unique with the bow detail. I think thats me in a nutshell, traditional but unique.
On another note, I wanted to talk to you about color combinations (I'll be doing a whole blog post about my favorite color combinations soon) I believe we all tend to play it safe with the colors we normally wear. When I was getting ready and thinking of shoes to pair with the look it was so easy to head towards white. However, I wanted a pop of color and I knew yellow and blue look so well together.
Even if you add a different color with your accessories it can elevate your look and make it stand out. I'm a firm believer that it isn't WHAT you wear but HOW you wear it. I once heard Sarah Jessica Parker (style icon) say that your shoes can be a neutral, don't look at them like they have to be matchy matchy all the time. So even if you have a printed shoe or a bold color it can go well with your outfit, I guess what I'm trying to say is just think out the black and white box.
Thanks so much for reading,
Joan
