GINGHAM STYLE
Hey everyone,
I'm sure some have notice I've been a little MIA. To be sincere I just haven't felt inspired to really think of original content. The reason I started blogging is simply because I love fashion. I have passion for sharing things I find beautiful. However, in a world where bloggers are just flooding your social media feeds it is so hard to make a mark on such a large industry. I sometimes have to take a step back and think, what can I bring to the table? I don't want to show you exactly what everyone else is wearing, I want to share outfits and make you think, "wow I never thought about wearing that". I want to open your mind to news brands, new styles, and a new feeling. I ALWAYS recommend people to branch out of their comfort zone. Although I think it's important for you to always feel comfortable and like yourself, I think that notion of seeing a piece and thinking, "oh thats so cute, but its not really me" is so wrong. If something in you is drawn to a garment it's most likely because it is you. I guess what I'm saying is I want to inspire you, and for me to do that, I need to be inspirational.
Anyways, this look was so fun to wear. I love gingham for this time of the year. It's a little bit of Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, but I have no problem with that. It's just a fun print to wear and I loved the added pops of red to this black gingham dress. I'm wearing some important trends for the season which are SNEAKERS paired with a dress, and a wicker bag. Lately, I've been into Jane Birkin, who's always seen with her straw/wicker basket. So, here is to Jane Birkin, a style icon who made this look laid-back and cool.
Have the best week babes,
Joan
