Diane Keaton always comes to mind when people talk about personal style. Since the days of Annie hall her sense of androgyny has come through in a very charming and tailored manner. She has been able to keep the same style since the start, which can be difficult to accomplish, especially in a world where trends change every month and reinvention is praised. I definitely thought of her when creating this look with Walker Slater. There is something so fun just adding a bow tie to your outfit when keeping a look so classic.
Although this look is playful, it also has very classic elements thanks to the Scottish tweed from Walker Slater. This jacket is probably my favorite piece, it is such a statement without trying too hard, and the color really adds a pop to any outfit. Also, it's so warm, which is always a major plus during the colder months. Although I was going for a very tomboy look, the blazer's feminine cut shapes the body nicely so you don't loose your curves.
If you are ever near a Walker Slater store you should definitely take the time to walk in and check out their beautiful stores. Here in Edinburgh they are located down Victoria street (one location for the gentlemen and a separate Women's shop). The staff is so kind and really helpful, they really know their stuff and can help you find the perfect classic tweed piece.
