ROAD TRIP TO ST.GEORGE// HIKING ANGELS LANDING
This little road trip to St. George was so spontaneous! My best friend, Katie invited all of us to hike Angels Landing in Zion's National Park. I just had such a good time with this group.

NEW YORK GIRLS TRIP

My best friend in the whole world, Katie and I took a girls trip to New York during spring break. Chase had been applying to Grad school and although we didn't know where we would end up we knew Utah was just not the place for us. So Katie and I wanted to spend some time together and it was actually both our first time in New York. We had the best time together and got to experience so much of the city, too much to write down, its a trip I'll always remember.
Exactly the next day after I arrived back to Utah Chase received his acceptance to the University of Edinburgh. It made we so happy to know I just spent some beautiful time with my greatest friend.

CHASE AND JONATHAN GRADUATING BYU

My brother and husband graduated BYU together and it was absolutely one of the best memories I've had in my life. I was so proud of both of them I thought my heart was going to bust from joy. Most of my family actually came out for the graduation as well and it was just so sweet to have everyone together in Utah for this experience.

MOVING BACK TO FLORIDA FOR THE SUMMER
After Chase and I decided to move to Edinburgh for Grad school we had to make the choice of when we were going to leave Utah. We could have stayed until September but back in mid May we sold EVERYTHING we owned. I mean everything, cars, furniture, decorations a lot of clothes and just so much more. We just felt that having those months with our family was going to be the best for us. I am so happy we had that time to be with them. I was able to spend some time with my niece and nephew which I wish I had so much more time with. It breaks my heart not to see them grow everyday. So I'll always remember this summer as one of the best so far.

2 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSERY IN KEY WEST

Chase and I wanted just a little getaway for our anniversary, we believe in spending our money on experience instead of things so we toke a trip down to the keys instead of getting gifts. We had the best time just walking the streets and eating SO MUCH good food. I still can't believe we are going on five years together, feels like just yesterday I met this cute boy in Provo.

COLOMBIA
If you didn't know, I'm actually Colombian and proud of it! I've been wanting to go to South America with Chase to meet family and explore a country I born in but never was able to experience. Colombia is absolutely stunning and has such a complex history. It broke my heart to see so much poverty right next to such wealthy areas. It opened my eyes to so much more.
This trip is something I'll always keep in my heart, not only was I able to go with my husband but my mom as well which made it even more special.

MOVING TO EDINBURGH, U.K

As you may already know Chase and I moved to Edinburgh the 1st of September so chase could continue his education and attend grad school.
We are so happy here just living life. Defiantly the highlight of this year and our marriage thus far.

LONDON TRIP

Like I mentioned before Chase and I rather invest on experiences than things so for Christmas instead of buying each other big gifts we took a trip down to London since neither of us had ever been before. It was just the best time getting to sight see with Chase and finally view all these historical sites I've heard about my whole life.

GROWING HOW DOES JOAN DO IT

Being a blogger is my wildest dream, having the ability to share the things I'm interested in with others gives me so much happiness. I started my blog two year ago when I first got married but I was never consistent on it as I am now. I think its because I felt so unoriginal which is hard to say but its the truth. In Utah its saturated with great bloggers so finding your voice is so difficult. In the last six months I especially have found an even greater passion. I have so many plans to grow how does Joan do it in 2017 but I'm so grateful how far its come this year. I'm so happy people are enjoying my content, and it just makes me want to be as creative and original as I can possibly be.

GETTING HEALTY
(sorry for the bad quality picture)
In 2016 one thing that stands out the most was my fitness journey. I have never talked about it but I wanted to get as healthy as I could. Back in 2015 I started researching food and the affects its has on our bodies. I just found the determination to stay consistent with myself and stay away from bad food and to go to the gym and be active. So if being a healthier you is on the list for 2017 I just wanted to give you a little encouragement and tell you that you an do it.
